Jose Hendrix is a pop singer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He lives in Kinshasa, the capital city, with annual or semi annual stays in the US of 2 or 3 months at a time. He has also spent considerable time in London, performing with a group there. How he wound up in the States and hooked up with Kansas City musicians is a rather long story. Suffice to say that it's an interesting and exciting blend of musical influences. When performing in the Kansas City environs the band can be a mix-and-match hodgepodge of players.
