December 19, 2021: Jazz Legends has renewed the contract for solo every 2nd and 4th Tuesday through 2022. Same for Valentine & the Ticklers every 2nd and 4th Friday.
November 8, 2021: I'll be playing a new joint (new to me) this Saturday, Eddie V's on the Plaza with Max Groove. Details at Gig Schedule.
November 7, 2021: As of this coming Saturday, November 13, there will be no more cover charge at BBs for the Jam. NO COVER! The reinstated mask mandate was terminated last Thursday. So no cover, no masks!
May 20, 2021: Jazz Legends has restored my full solo schedule. Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday and 1 Sunday a month. See Gig Schedule for details.
May 19, 2021: Seems the gig at the Green Lady is over. It was fun while it lasted, but I won't miss the late hours.
May 16, 2021: Mask mandates lifted for the region except Wyandotte County (Jazz Legends). In April I averaged 3 gigs a week; in May it's 4 gigs a week. 2-4 gigs a week is what I was doing when the Shutdown happened in March of 2020.
May 12, 2021: Capacity and distancing restrictions are lifted, mask mandate still in effect. BBs has moved the Saturday Afternoon Jam back inside.
The Green Lady gig may have some legs. It's kind of a unique situation. All jazz, all original music; no covers, no standards. It's been fun. It's nice to be playing in a band with a real B3.
