Tolle
Jake Tolle has performed as
a classical soloist and in groups for The Kansas City Symphony Women's
Association, Zona Rosa Concert Series, Plaza Summer Concert Series, as well
as clubs, department stores, pit orchestras, churches, and weddings around
the KC metro area.
Jake Tolle is a classical musician and makes no apologies for it.
Studying music since the age of nine, he initially studied the guitar with
Chris Hudson, Guitar Instructor at The Community School of the Arts and a
former student of Douglas Niedt.
Later, he has added to his expertise by studying with Christopher Parkening
protege and international recording artist Douglas Niedt himself. He has
performed in many master classes, including for the Grammy Award Winning Los
Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) and GFA Award Winning Jason Vieaux
At the ripe age of 21 Jake studied John Elliot's jazz theory method with Jay
EuDaly to see what all the fuss was about. Jake is extremely grateful to Jay
for showing him a new perspective on music and firmly believes the Vertical
Truth is a great book.
After The Conservatory of Music and Dance, Jake has had studies on Lute and
Historical Performance Practices with Dr. Jeffrey Noonan.
