I'm sorry but it's looking like I won't get to this 'till Monday. We had more snow last night and I'm not planning on leaving the house today. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and I have a performance in a little town out in Kansas and will spend all day preparing and trying to get there in less than favorable conditions. Then the weekend. So, weather permitting, I'll try to deal with this on Monday when I return (I hope) to my teaching studio.

I know that you are a scammer and all your Christmas and New Years well-wishes are insincere. In fact, they were all to the end of stealing my money. Taking food and heat away from me and my family is what you have attempted to do. That is evil, Todd - or whatever your name is.

However, I have been insincere as well, since I knew this was a scam from the very beginning, yet I played along anyway. I do it to create content for my website which drives potential customers to me. I also have a large collection of bogus checks just like yours.

So if you will apologize for trying to steal from me then I will apologize for baiting you and we can live happily ever after. What'd ya say?

Well, Todd (or whatever your name is), besides the fact that I've done this 50 or 60 times, and the method is always the same, and you fit the method to a tee, on the Craigslist page called "About Scams" it says,
 

That's pretty categorical Todd (or whatever your name is) - it says "ANYONE..." That would include you - you've asked me to do that very thing, have you not?

And now you're asking me to spend my money to send your bogus check back to you! You're only the 2nd scammer out of dozens and dozens that have asked for the check back. I can't imagine that you think there's really a chance of that happening.

Do people really fall for this kind of scam anymore? It's really hard for me to imagine that it's worth the time and effort, not to mention what it costs to ship all these bogus checks around. You must score enough to make it worth it, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it. Would you?

Let's just suppose this is not a scam. Let's suppose you're legitimate and I have horribly misjudged you. I have a way that we can solve our problem. If you take me up on it, then I will personally apologize to you for calling you a scammer and I will give your son, Jason, his lessons for free. Interested? If not, I can only conclude I was right, and you are nothing but a common thief. I will wait to see what your response is.
