Rate per hour is $36.00. I would want to teach them separately, and the
lessons could be a half hour for each one of them, so you would be looking at 2
hours per week = $72.00 per week for both of them.

Hi Tim,
Well I can't wait to meet the kids either! However, this check is for way too
much...but we're in luck. It just so happens that I have a gig in Philly next
Wednesday. I'll just swing by your financier Dennis May's place on Chestnut
Thursday morning and get a check for the right amount. He can then send the
nanny the money directly, which is what should have happened in the first place,
don't you agree? Have you considered hiring a different financier?
Looking forward to meeting the kids,
Jay
[The check came via UPS from Dennis May, JM Promo, 1623 Chestnut St, Phila., PA 19103]

Re:
Master Guitar (Overland Park / Kansas City)
Hi Tim,
As I explained in my previous email, I intend to give this check back to Dennis
May when I am in Philadelphia next week. He can then send Sarah Croft the money
she needs and I can get my fee, and only my fee. As I suggested before, it might
behoove you to use somebody else in the states when it comes to your finances.
This deal of sending me a big check, asking me to cash it, and wiring your nanny
the difference is a very inefficient and insecure way to do business. You are
fortunate I'm an honest person. I mean, how did Mr. May know that I wouldn't
just cash his check and keep the money? He had no way of knowing that, and yet
he sent me the check anyway.
On the other hand, I apologize, Tim, if it seems like I am telling you how to
conduct your affairs. It's really none of my business. But this check sent to me
IS my business, and returning it to Mr. May when I am in Philadelphia next week
is the way I wish to deal with this. By the way, I will be playing at Ortlieb's
Jazzhaus on Wednesday night if Mr. May would like to meet me there. If not, I
will come to his place on Thursday morning.
Yours,
Jay
